Christmas Rideout - ho ho ho :)

Postby samhirst87 on Wed Oct 21, 2009 11:26 am

So who fancies a Christmas ride out on Boxing Day or bank holiday Monday? I wouldn’t want to go too far but around the dales would be nice... like through pately bridge and up past stump cross caverns and down the road towards grassington and we can then stop off for a pub meal.

We could even decorate our bikes with bits of tinsil :)

Idea of route...

Leeds - Harrogate - Pately Bridge - Stump Cross Caverns - Grassington - Burnsall - Bolton Abbey - Ilkley - Otley and then split off our own ways.

What do you all think of the idea? This would be a brilliant opportunity for the club and I will take my camera and get some professional photos of the ride :)

The Monday sounds like a plan to me.
Boxing day could be a bad day for a lot of people due to family commitments.

Does seem like a good plan Sam, but unfortunately my shifts over xmas wont allow me to attend, basically i'm working from 21st - 23rd, then off 24th - 25th, then start a 4 days of earlies from 26th - 29th, off again 30th - 31st then working nights 1st - 3rd.

So anybody that can make it have a good ride, but as you can see, I'm going to be a bit busy over xmas & new year.

So far Pinky & Hairy are interested...

Pinky can be mrs claus and I can be your little helper... that sounds iffy lol!

I possibly might be able to make this on the monday, weather permitting. I'll be riding from Batley so can meet whereever around leeds!
As to dressing up/decorating the bikes, sounds like a great idea!!!
Theres a few of us riding over to squires on halloween with some rather creepy looking bikes hehe ^_^.
